  • Henry Gilbert

    Instructor

My passion for health and physical conditioning began when I touched my first weight at age 11. During my undergraduate years at Penn State, I joined the powerlifting team, changed my major and went on to earn a B.S. in Kinesiology and an M.S. in Health & Human Performance. I worked as a collegiate assistant strength coach for three years and earned my CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. While coaching student athletes, I found that I loved helping others understand and take control of their own bodies. My fascination with Pilates began recently, when after just a few sessions, I noticed physical changes in my posture, and increased awareness over my body. I embrace the challenge of blending my knowledge from strength coaching with Pilates techniques in order to help others achieve their health & fitness goals.
